Hotel Chocolat was the brainchild of Angus Thirlwell and Peter Harris, whose goal was to make available to the chocolate consumers of the UK, a classier chocolate experience.

In the begining, the company was purely mail order and it was only as recently as 2004 that Hotel Chocolate stores began making an appearance in the high street.

Ten years ago, the Hotel Chocolat Tasting Club was started. Each month, members receive a whole new selection of quality chocolates to sample. There is a score card in the box for members to complete and return, but only if they wish to. This  provides feedback to the company on what the customers like.
The chocolates are carefully wrapped and boxed to ensure that your chocolates arrive with you in the best possible condition.
